Quote: From hints around the Alliance system, it seems that CCP wants to make the Alliances more like factions of their own. It should be the controlling alliance in the area that has a say over who gets ganked by NPC's and who doesn't...
If CCP is hellbent on recognizing these entitys and having them oust the residing factions from their sovereign systems can't they at least demand that the alliances names are somewhat creative and appealing, Stain alliance, Fountain alliance, Curse alliance, frankly they all sound like crap as a faction in their own right.
The lack of imagination here is watering down the whole experience and I seriously hope CCP demand more out of these alliances other than being able to shoot this or that many ships in a day or logging that many hours.

Edited by: Danton Marcellus on 22/10/2004 23:53:50 Killing NPC pirates in 0.0 and gaining standing with empire factions while not getting any flack for taking out their lawabiding denizens ring a little hollow.
I'd like to see the security standings counting for the inside and a separate one for 0.0, both making up the grand total. That way some senseless ganker from 0.0 cannot sport 5.0 on the inside for killing pirates out in the ass end of space that no-one supposedly should care for, given the logic on this thread.

Why would Concord, that is comprised of all the sanctioned bodies from within the empires deal with or even recognize such shallow factions as the CA? There's really no incentive for them to do that.
Furthermore I don't think you understood at all what I was getting at so quoting me and going off on some other topic didn't make the post look more valid.
Remove all or some of the deep space bounties and certainly all of the security standing gain and make hunting there for modules only and then we'll see how these pirate alliances compare to the average Job. Yes Joe got old and retired, his much older father is now working as a temp.
Or at least make it more profitable for an unaffiliated pilot to hunt pirates out there as we supposedly care for the laws of the inside, while declared alliance pilots is merely turncoating their way into the good grace of the differing factions with indiscriminate killings.

Quote: But you want alliances to be nerfed, and players who is not in alliances to be able to gain all the advantages. Thats a very very singleminded view, on how this game should be played.
You already have all the advantages, how about you concede some of those for game balance sake and a more complex and fulfilling experience or would that not be utter and complete ownage?

Quote: A game where everyone get everything served on a platter, would be dull.
I'm proposing a more complex relationship with the lawful factions. As is you already get everything served on a platter only having to camp a few chokepoints and check the map ever so often.

Quote: I am all for taking away, instajumps, would make life a lot easier for me, that way i could catch alsmost everyone, i see at a gate.
I don't ever want to hear you call me on being narrowminded about game mechanics again.
How about you try to see what would generate a more diverse and actionfilled galaxy instead of enhancing your perticular experience or maintaining your current empire.

I'd think the majority of pilots and factions would agree that pilots shooting down everything they can even outside their claimed space are pirates. Shooting everything up just because there is no law doesn't make you a righteous fella, it makes you a liability, a risk, a criminal.
